About Sana
Sana Hayes is an ordained interfaith minister performing marriage and other ceremonies throughout the Northwest. A native Oregonian, Sana is proud of her pioneer roots.
Sana is a graduate of One Spirit Interfaith Seminary in New York City and was ordained in June of 2006. Her education at One Spirit included studies of the world's religions and spiritual traditions, death and dying, spiritual counseling, prayer, ceremony, ritual and more.
As an interfaith minister Sana has an understanding, acceptance and appreciation for all spiritual practices, paths, and beliefs. Sana's own path is one devoted to service, contemplation, meditation, prayer and a lifestyle practicing love, trust, courage, faith and patience. Sana's dedication to service is evident in her life: She is currently a volunteer chaplain with her local fire department and spent years as a volunteer nurses aide. She has also served as a 24-hour crises response victim advocate for the District Attorney's office.
Sana is a member of the Interfaith Network of Central Oregon ( www.incoregon.org) - a gathering of ministers, chaplains, and individual members of different faiths who come together to learn about, respect, and appreciate each other's beliefs and traditions.
Sana participates in the Prayer Shawl Ministry ( www.shawlministry.com) by crocheting shawls for the chaplains of St. Charles Medical Center to distribute to patients or family members who might be especially comforted in their time of need by receiving a handmade shawl.
